Grades!

Just a reminder:

I will be grading you.

For that reason, its especially important that you don't write half-assed rough drafts because I will know and it will hurt your grade.

And remember to turn things in on time - that is also very important! (Especially because after that is the four-day weekend, and I can use that time to grade all y'allz work.)

Please turn in your first drafts (but write them as if they are your final drafts!) to me physically, on paper, along with your bibligraphical information, and please cite your sources properly. Remember also to keep all of your work on your computer, just in a word document format or something, - bibliographies and everything, so that if I need copies, you should be able to get them.

I don't want to sound like a bitch, but guys, I really want this magazine to turn out well, so please put effort into it! Believe me, if we don't put the work in now, we will be panicking at the end of the year. And you hafta put the work in. Because remember - I am grading you! (I feel so powerful! ;p )

Thanks everyone!

On the topic of biographical information...

If I use a source other than Machiavelli himself, should I still cite it? Even if it would be an anachronism?

Or will there be something like a separate section for anachronistic sources?

This probably applies to other topics than mine, too, since most commentary on our current historical era was written AFTER the era ended.

If you read the post, I need them physically, printed out, to be given to me during class at some point.

where does it say during class?

nathaniel said...

how long should they be like general

Kaitlyn C said...

it doesnt say during class but I said physically, so unless you're planning to show up at my house at 10 pm...haha

...

and as to length -- however long it takes! Just make sure you include all of your info without babbling on forever, but have some flow to it, not just everything written in a list-style

For those of us who didn't hand in our articles on Tuesday--would you rather we e-mail you our completed articles before next Tuesday, or give you a hard copy in person on the day it's due?

Either one is fine.
My email address is

when are the revised articles due

Kaitlyn C said...

On wednesday, your final drafts are due, and for those of you who turned in their first drafts later, yours will be due after the test. However, if you do not have an exuse for late work, I might be mean and make it due at the end of the week even though we have a test. Oh yeah -- If you haven't noticed, we do have a test this friday...Good luck!
