Grades!

Just a reminder:

I will be grading you.

For that reason, its especially important that you don't write half-assed rough drafts because I will know and it will hurt your grade.

And remember to turn things in on time - that is also very important! (Especially because after that is the four-day weekend, and I can use that time to grade all y'allz work.)

Please turn in your first drafts (but write them as if they are your final drafts!) to me physically, on paper, along with your bibligraphical information, and please cite your sources properly. Remember also to keep all of your work on your computer, just in a word document format or something, - bibliographies and everything, so that if I need copies, you should be able to get them.

I don't want to sound like a bitch, but guys, I really want this magazine to turn out well, so please put effort into it! Believe me, if we don't put the work in now, we will be panicking at the end of the year. And you hafta put the work in. Because remember - I am grading you! (I feel so powerful! ;p )

Art for Articles

Ok guys, about art for your articles:

Alma brought up a good point about the art; she said that she needs to know what you need so she can do it before the deadline.

I know this is Lida's...er...territory...but I'm thinking that the art ideas should all be in by...Tuesday, October 23 (post here or tell me or lida) Hopefully, Mr. Janus will let us have about 10-15 minutes on Wednesday the 24th to talk over your ideas and work out any problems you're having...

Of course, you can always add more art later, but make sure that your ideas are pretty solid by that date. That includes drawings, photgraphs, cartoons...all types of non-text images.

Anyone else interested in doing art? And if you want to do your own artwork, thats no problem, just make sure that it looks good, or OK it with Lida.

Remember: EVERYONE NEEDS AT LEAST ONE IMAGE FOR THEIR ARTICLE!!! and the longer the article, the more pictures...think about all of those tabloids -- they're mostly pictures!

Start telling us what you need! (Post here) And as you guys tell me and lida we can add a list to the post to make it easier to see for other people.

Fo' serious, guys. Tell us what you need, and tell other people that they need to get blogs because I think only like 9 people or something have blogs from our class.

Hey guys,

I decided to use blogger because it's really easy to set up accounts, and because the school people told me that I'm not allowed to add pages or have access to write on the school blogs...
Hopefully, this will work out, if not...I'll talk to Mr. Janus.
So, post any questions/comments/suggestions...and I'll keep posting due dates and stuff like that, so be sure to check the blog every now and then.
